Fees
Fee Structures
Flat Fee - a specific total fee is set for the entire matter regardless of time spent on the case or the outcome.
Segmented Flat Fee - when a matter can be divided into stages, a fee is set for each stage of the matter. This fee structure is used primarily for contested family law cases.
Pay-As-You-Go - single payment for a specific service at the time service is rendered. This fee structure is typically used for deeds, document review, and other specific tasks.
Hourly - a fee is billed in 1/10th hour increments at an agreed rate for each hour a matter is worked on.
Costs - expenses incurred in connection with a matter, such as: filing fees to the Clerk of Court, (case filing is $150 and motions are $25), process server/certified mail costs, subpoena costs, and mediation costs. Costs are in addition to the fees charged. An expense deposit may be required for costs.

Established in 2009, and formerly located on Whitsett Street in Greenville, the Head Law Firm, LLC is now centrally located at the Merovan Center, 1200 Woodruff Road, Suite A-3, Greenville, near the interchange of I-385 and Woodruff Road. The Firm's practice is focused on family law and is available to serve clients in Greenville and throughout upstate South Carolina.
Matthew Head has over 20 years of experience practicing law with a focus on family law matters. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Furman University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar and is admitted to practice in South Carolina state courts and in the federal United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.
